Netherlands Tuner Block Exports
In 2024, overseas shipments of tuner blocks decreased by -21.6% to 6.1M units, falling for the second consecutive year after three years of growth. Over the period under review, total exports indicated a perceptible increase from 2014 to 2024: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.0% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2024 figures, exports decreased by -36.1% against 2022 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by 36%. The exports peaked at 9.5M units in 2022; however, from 2023 to 2024, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, tuner block exports reduced remarkably to $349M (IndexBox estimates) in 2024. In general, exports, however, recorded slight growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 84% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $625M in 2022; however, from 2023 to 2024, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Exports by Country
Germany (2.3M units), France (1.4M units) and Spain (926K units) were the main destinations of tuner block exports from the Netherlands, with a combined 59% share of total exports. the UK, Portugal, Sweden, Poland and Belgium lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 26%.
From 2014 to 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Sweden (with a CAGR of +70.7%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest markets for tuner block exported from the Netherlands were Germany ($89M), the UK ($84M) and France ($79M), together comprising 53% of total exports. Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Belgium and Poland lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 32%.
Among the main countries of destination, Sweden, with a CAGR of +81.1%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Export Prices by Country
In 2024, the tuner block price amounted to $61 per unit (FOB, Netherlands), dropping by -6.6% against the previous year. Overall, the export price showed a mild downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 an increase of 41%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $87 per unit in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($106 per unit), while the average price for exports to Italy ($38 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2014 to 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Italy (+6.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
