We made this last night - added smoked paprika and used sweet onion instead of red because that's what we had on hand. Delicious! But, the salsa was pretty dry - perhaps because my nectarines were not quite ripe enough? Would definitely make again.

Have made several times now and the family loves it. I marinate the chicken in strips for at least several hours and then thread them on the skewers separately from the onion. I prefer grilling to broiling. Last night I served it over steamed jasmine rice with some teriyaki sauce on the side. Delicious. Oh - and why not use the whole avocado in the salsa? Will definitely make again.

Very tasty and easy! I think you could marinate the chicken longer, but it has good flavor and stayed moist. The salsa was also great, through next time I would maybe try mango instead of nectarine, personal preference. Served with whole grain garlic cous cous. Delish! Will make again, good summer meal for the rotation.

Delicious! Made for company and it was quite the hit. And so pretty and colorful! I doubled the recipe, kabobed the first half and then got tired and threw the rest of the chicken under the broiler.

First timer, think the nectarines hurt the dish, not in season.

This dish is SO EASY to make - takes a little work with a knife to craft the salsa. So far I've made this one twice for my wife and I. It looked so great I took pictures! I intend on making this again in a couple of weeks and trying some different combinations on the marinade. I'm thinking that a little Cayenne and some fresh ground mustard seeds might make this really smoke! I only added one Jalapeno to the salsa (both times I made it) and I wish I'd put in two - or at least not seeded the one I put in. The salsa is great as is, but could use more kick IMHO.

As previously shared, the salsa is awsome! I didn't bother with 'Kebobbing" I marinated the chicken breasts whole and placed on the grill that way. I also put cut up onion and whole mushrooms in the marinade and grilled. Served with couscous. 2 thumbs up from the family!!

Excellent! I will definitely find more uses for the marinade! To save myself from going to the store, I used nectarines and peaches, green and purple peppers and chilis from my garden. I also added a dash of powdered chipotle pepper since my chili peppers weren't as hot as a jalapeno. We grilled our skewers too. (If you use bamboo, soak them in water while the chicken is marinating and they won't catch fire.) Rather than couscous I used up some risotto rice and added the fresh herbs to that, and it was quite good.

I've made this twice now and love it. The first time, I marinated the chicken for about eight hours and the second, I marinated it for over 24 hours. I think the longer marinade improved the flavor. We grilled the skewers on our gas grill both times with excellent results. I loved the salsa and think it would be great on grilled pork or chicken if you have leftovers. I made the herbed couscous in the picture as well and thought it was great. I used TJ's Israeli couscous.

I have made this wonderful recipe a few times and it's definitely in my rotation for a quick weeknight meal. If you can't find nectarines / peaches in season, you can use pineapple or mango in the salsa (they both taste excellent). The marinade is perfect; juicy / moist chicken. I usually don't kabob the chicken or onion though - just spread them out on a broiler dish and turn half way through. I use Far East Whole Wheat couscous in the Roasted Garlic flavor, which gives this dish even more pizzaz. To serve, just toss all the ingredients together in a bowl and spinkle with cilantro. Excellent & filling meal - enjoy!

This recipe is excellent as is but I also use the marinade on shrimp and make shrimp tacos with cabbage slaw and the nectarine salsa. It's a huge crowd pleaser either way!

This was a big hit. Made to recipe except microwaved the red onion a bit before skewering; also grilled outdoors rather than using the broiler -- way too hot for that. Chicken was tender & juicy, fruit salad was great. Served with the recommended herbed couscous. Try this at least once without making any major changes, very good as written.

Tasty dish. We served it with some mac and cheese since we ate it with 3 teenagers who enjoyed that more than the couscous. Salsa was good but a bit labor intensive with all the chopping.

This is a solid, tasty recipe that is easy to make and pretty to serve with all the fresh colors in the salsa. I used peaches rather than nectarines since that's what I had on hand and I would say that the salsa was definitely the stand-out. I was expecting the chicken to be a little more flavorful. I will definitely make the salsa again...I think it would be amazing on grilled fish tacos!

This was a hit! Very flavorful spice combination on the chicken and super easy. I did use two jalapenos and left in half of the seeds. I think it needs the extra kick! Also, stirred some crumbled feta into the couscous as recommended by a previous reviewer.

Made this exactly as the recipe is stated. It was delicious. My parents are very picky eaters and they loved it. Seemed surprised at the mix of cold salsa and hot chicken - but it was PERFECT for a hot summer afternoon. Moist and delicious. Made it on the grill and served with a side cold pasta. YUM YUM YUM.

Outstanding recipe. I also cooked it outside on the grill. I marinated for hours before guest arrived and I think that made it so much better. It was served with herbed rice with a large handful of cilantro. The fruit salsa was wonderful and everyone loved it.

Flavors are good, but my husband thought chicken was a little dry; he likes more sauce. With leftovers, I chopped the chicken into smaller pieces and with shredded cheese, made quesadillas. I ran the nectarine salsa in the food processor a few pulses for a dipping sauce.

This is a wonderful recipe. The marinade made the chicken so flavorful, I broiled mine in the oven, and it was so moist and tender. I didn't have nectarines, so used fresh peaches instead, and the salsa was delicious. This time I only used red onions on the skewers, but will add other vegetables next time. This will be a summer regular.

One of the best chicken recipes I've made in a long time! I only had 1 lb of chicken breast (the receipe calls for 1.5) but I still made the spice rub as the recipe called. Glad I made a little more rub because it was just enough in my opinion. I made the nectarine salsa as the recipe called and it too was amazing! So fresh and tasted like summertime! I think the fresh cilantro makes all the difference. As for the couscous, I added a little olive oil, cilantro, green onion and goat cheese crumbles. So yummy! My almost 3 year old daughter is a pretty picky eater, but she actually asked for seconds on this dish. Makes for a happy momma.

So good! Served this to my fiance tonight and when I first put this "peach salsa" on his plate, his face was uneasy and hesitant. But right after his first bite, he was hooked and kept saying how good it all was. However, I didn't follow the recipe exactly. I used shrimp instead of chicken, didn't add the avocado to the salsa, and put red onion, yellow bell pepper and red bell pepper on separate skewers from the shrimp since the veggies take so much longer to cook. Oh, and I just used my indoor grill rather than the broiler. This will definitely be a keeper!

I followed this recipe to the letter (for once!), and both the chicken kebabs and the nectarine salsa were outstanding and super easy to make. I typically cook kebabs outside on the grill, but thought I'd give the broiler method a shot per the recipe. It worked beautifully, cooking both the chicken and onions to perfection. The spice rub is also excellent. Overall, it was a wonderful summer dinner.

I made this for company. It went really fast and gave the guests something to do to help in the kitchen. The balance of flavors in the spice rub is perfect - spicy but not hot. The salsa was a perfect summer side dish for barbecue. I added cherry tomatoes and grilled this over med-hi heat on my gas grill. [Be sure to soak the skewers in water for 30 min. first.] The salsa is so colorful I will be making it for everything all summer!
